How Sage Vishwamitra And Parasurama Relate To Each Other

BRAMHANA AND KSHATRIYA INTERCHANGED

This one mistake transformed a Bramhana to Kshatriya and a Kshatriya to Bramhana. However, In the Indian Epics a mistake is not considered as a mistake infact it is considered as a gods wish or decision and believe to have a great internal meaning.

For example, everyone knows that In Epic Mahabharatha, Arjun win's Draupadi as his wife and after reaching their hut, his mother Kunti Devi without noticing what exactly he brought orders whatever brought by him should be divided among the five brothers equally, here this situation has many reasons to take place, even though it seems to be the mistake of Kunti Devi.

Now lets know how Sage Vishwamitra and Parashurama related to each other, and why sage Vishwamitra became Bramharshi belonging to Kshatriya clan and also Parashurama became a warrior even belonging to Bramhana family.

Epic Mahabharatha, Aranya Parvam and Shanthi Parvam reveals the following
There was a king Gadhi who rule the kingdom of Kanyakubja, his only daughter was Sathyavathi who is known for her beauty, intelligence and good behavior at that time.
Sage Ruchikason of Bhrigu Maharshi, a Brahmin, who gained great powers [thapo balam] by performing penance, meditationsspiritual practices by which Lord Vishnu impressed and gave him a Bow [Vishnu Dhanussu]
Came to king Gadhi and said him that he is willing to marry her daughter, King Gadhi replied that their family has a system of Kanyashulkam, [opposite to Dowry system in which bridegroom has to give something valuable before, or on occasion of marriage], and said that if anyone gives One Thousand Horses which are pure White in colour and having only one of the ear in Black colour, then he will marry his daughter Sathyavathi to him. If he gives them then he will marry his daughter to him.
Generally horses belong to Kshatriyas, Ruchika being a Bramhana can't get horses by fighting with the kings, then he with his spiritual powers, went to Varuna Loka to asked help to Varuna Deva [god of water], he after explaining the condition requests to grant him the horses which are asked by King Gadhi. Varuna dev has agreed to give the horses to him, when he reach the bank of river Ganga in Kanyakubja.
Ruchika came to the bank of river Ganga and performed holy bath, then after sometime one Thousand Horses as asked by him emerged out of the river,

Because Varuna Dev has the power over the water element he sent them through water,
Even today this place is known as Ashwa Theertham  in Kannauj [present name of Kanyakubjam], Uttar Pradesh, India.

Then Ruchika married Sathyavathi by giving the horses to King Gadhi as Kanyashulkam.

Sathyavathi and Ruchika entered to Gruhasth ashram and living a happy life in Ashram/hermitage.
After some time the Sage Bhrigu visited Sathyavathi and Ruchika's Ashram, Sathyavathi impressed the Sage Bhrigu by her service and devotion, and asked a boon that she want a son and also son for his father [brother], because he don't have a son to take his throne after him, then Sage Bhrigu who knows that her her son should have Bramhana qualities and brother should have Kshatriya qualities, gave her two Havishya patras and enchanted both patras with his spiritual power and said that her mother is going to visit her after she arrive's then you should eat the portion from first patra and hug a medi vruksham by which a great Bramhana who scholar all Vedas, Shastras, Upanishats and perform holy practices [Yagnas and  Yagas] will take birth and give your mother the second part and say her to hug Ashwastha vruksham by which a great Kshatriya who rule the earth and have a great attitude [Pourusha, Parakram] will take birth. After her mother visits she explains everything and unfortunately Sathyavathi forgets which part she and her mother should take and she interchanges the patras and also the trees.
Sathyavathi after some time asked the Sage Bhrigu whether she did in the right manner or not, then Bhrigu replies that she did a big mistake and it will happen any how, then Sathyavathi asked him to give a solution for this problem and said she want to give a great Bramhana to his husband and not kshatriya. Sage Bhrigu said that the one who have the qualities of ksariya will anyhow will take birth but gave her a boon to postpone it to the next generation ie., not as son but as grandson, and can't be changed in the case of her mother.
Then after sometime her mother gave birth to Kaushika [Sage Vishwamitra] He ruled the kingdom many years and Sathyavathi gave birth to Jamadagni, who is a great scholar and gained many powers he is also learned Dhanurvidhya.
Jamadagni married a kshatriya women Renuka Devi, daughter of the king Prasenajith and gave birth to 5 sons Rumanvantha, Sushena, Vasu, Vishwavasu and the youngest son was Parashurama, who is one of the 22 Incarnations of Lord Vishnu
Later on  Sage Ruchika and Sathyavathi went to heaven by their spiritual powers with their material bodies and Sathyavathi again returned to earth and flowed like a river named Kaushiki [who belongs to the clan of Kusha] in the Himalaya Mountains.
